The VNSC also offers regular sailing lessons for kids and teens through structured group lessons every 4-6 weeks and on-demand, small-group sessions every Saturday.

The VNSC has a fleet of 11 world famous Optimist sailboats, sailed by thousands of young sailing enthusiasts all over the world.  The Optimist is fit for children up to 15 years and/or 45 kilos.

All sailors must be able to swim at least 50m unaided and wear a buoyancy aid on the water (the club can lend these). Parents and guardians must supervise the children in their care during the sailing course and remain responsible for them at all times.
